PMEA Model Curriculum Framework
After a nearly a two-and-a-half-year process, the PMEA Model Curriculum Framework (MCF) is now available to all PMEA members. This valuable resource connects the PA Standards and Competencies for the Arts and Humanities with the 2014 National Music Standards, as well as the 1994 National Music Standards. It is designed to be flexible and adaptable, allowing music teachers to easily access the most current trends in curriculum development. The MCF also allows music teachers the ability to synthesize these resources into their planning, instruction, and assessment.

Trained PMEA presenters are available should a school district be interest in providing professional development on the Framework for its music faculty and/or curriculum leaders. More information on that can be found in the MCF Presentation Information.
